Macmillan Cancer Support is delighted to announce that the generous residents of Sussex helped raise over £593,309 in 2006 towards a £1.5 million target to supply vital services to help people affected by cancer in the county. These services include providing over £70,000 in patient grants for local people in financial need because of their cancer diagnosis, and the freephone CancerLine, which provided emotional support and information to over 600 Sussex residents last year. Macmillan is continuing to develop new services in Sussex as the number of people living with cancer in the county is set to triple in the next twenty years. Every year in Sussex, 7,000 people are diagnosed with cancer and we want to make sure that they access to the very best treatment, information and support. Thank you all for your continued support. |

| Over £8,000 raised at Beatles Day 8! | |||
| Beatles Day 8, at the White Rock Theatre, was a very special event.
There was music in two venues within the Theatre, both the Sussex Room and the main auditorium.
The music was fantastic - varied and lively and performed by musicians of all ages. |

| A grand total of £8,000 was raised for Macmillan which will enable
them to continue funding vital cancer services in the Hastings area. |
