Providing specialist palliative care to 4,000 patients every year, St Michael's Hospice is available to the communities of Hastings and Rother. Care is tailored to the individual needs of each patient and their families, whether in the familiar surroundings of their own home, in our Day Therapy Centre or in the comfortable and supportive environment of the Hospice in-patient unit itself. Our team of highly skilled professionals offers high quality medical and nursing support, also ensuring that there is access to other services including chaplaincy, complementary therapies, physiotherapy and bereavement counseling. All through the Summer - Open Gardens From 3rd May to 26th July St Michael's Hospice has gardens opening across Hastings and Rother including many not opened previously for the Hospice. Places include Bexhill, Ewhurst Green, Herstmonceux, Hurst Green, Salehurst, Sandhurst, Stonegate, Udimore and of course Hastings Old Town, as part of the Old Town Carnival week. 19th June, 11.00am to 3.00pm - Tomb Raiders On Sunday 19th June featuring the Crystal Skull Trail. Follow the clues, search for skulls and find the symbols to the temple key, plus lots of fun for treasure seekers of all ages in the Crocodile Swamp. Fun stalls including Gorilla Tombola and Mash the Millipede, Jungle Sausage Sizzle (from 12.00 midday) and Jungle Cafe. |

9th July - Moonlight Walk A chance to see the beautiful local coastline in a different light! Join us for a night out with a difference and raise money for the Hospice. Approximately 6 miles long, through Bexhill, ending up at St. Mark's Church, Little Common for bacon sandwiches! Starts at 10.00pm and takes approximately 2 hours, Glowsticks! Chocolate! 24th July - Young Persons' Challenge Day at Windmill Hill For young people from 7 to 17, the Hospice's Young Person's Challenge Day at PGL Windmill Hill, on Sunday 24th July, generously sponsored by General Dynamics UK, offers your youngsters the chance to take part in 4 fantastic activities - Zipwire, Giant Swings, Jacob's Ladder and an Assault Course. Calling all Drivers, Drivers Drivers!!!!!! Do you have a few hours spare each week? St Michael's Hospice is in need of Volunteer Drivers to enable patients to benefit from our Day Therapy Centre. We need you to collect patients from their homes at about 9.30 in the morning, bring them to the Hospice, and then return to collect and drive them home at about 3 p.m. Make a real difference to someone's life – become a Volunteer Driver. If you come across items of good quality clothing, electrical or homeware that you no longer want or need then St Michael's Hospice would be a grateful recipient of any donated items.
